Iranian Regime Crimes Always Go Unpunished!

When it comes to Iran, it seems that the spree of violent acts just simply will not stop. Since their sanctions have been lifted in 2016 when Iran signed the Iran Deal, they have gotten far more economic and financial power and influence. However, it is what they have been doing that has been an issue.

Iran seems to be working to use their power and influence to destabilize many of its neighbors. For instance, in Yemen, Iran has been supporting the Houthi rebels, who have been prominently against Saudi and Yemeni forces. They have also attacked US ships in the Red Sea, meanwhile armed with weapons supplied by Iran.

They have also not only aligned with, but fully and openly support Assad, who is known for committing several human rights violations. They have supported them using money, weapons, intelligence, and even training.

Iran also used Iraq’s fight against ISIS and the instability that came as a result in order to capitalize on them. They have since used Iraq as a road to transport their soldiers and weapons to their other forces in Syria and Lebanon.

Their most notorious crime, however, is backing terrorist organizations. This has become so bad that The State Department has listed Iran as the Number 1 state sponsor of terrorism. Iran has funded anti-Western groups like Hamas and Hezbollah, as well as groups in Iraq, Syria, and Yemen, which made regional conflicts worse.

Hamas has benefited from weapons and training funded by Iran. They have used this to attack Israel from the Gaza Strip. The Hezbollah has made attacks on the Lebanese-Israeli border as well as helping to proper up Assad.

Iran has also been accused of not only supporting the Taliban, but refusing to punish former members of Al-Qaeda. Two Muslim-based terrorist organizations that struck fear into the Middle East.

Iran also sent out a message, threatening to resume killing Americans again after ISIS is defeated.

“Regarding the sense of Iranian malign influence, we’re trying alert NATO, the coalition, the State Department, the U.N. and the Gulf countries,” A military official said. “It’s a really big question. We’re very aware of it. We’re watching the move to post-ISIS. What the Iranians are saying is of significant concern.”

Due to these issues alone, along with a myriad of others, the U.N, as well as the US, should seek to seek to strengthen the ban on nuclear weapons for the state, but also work to enforce powerful sanctions as well, preventing the country for using their money and power for terrorism purposes.
